(i) On-Site System Set Up
The pictorial view of the IFSS is shown on the right, it is mobile
and can be set up within an hour at the site of operation.
(ii) On-Site System Calibration
The camera and the computer of the IFSS have to be calibrated
before it can be used to scan and detect whether a person is having
any fever. This is done with the aid of a calibrator unit, placed
at a distance from the camera as illustrated in the above drawing.
The time required to calibrate the IFSS is less than 15 minutes.
(iii) System Operation
The IFSS is operational upon completion of the system calibration.
Every person will be scanned when they pass through the field view
of the camera, “red spot” will appear on the image
of the display screen to indicate a person is having fever. In
normal practice, it requires only one operator to view the real-time
image at the display screen and to identify the person who is detected
with fever; another operator will help to filter and direct the
person (who is detected to have fever) for further medical tests. |
